A delicious new term – pod-slurping

While it appears to have been around for some time today I discovered the evocative term ‘pod-slurping’. It refers to the practice of connecting an iPod or similar device to a computer and running a search and copy program to ‘slurp’ files likely to contain important data on to the iPod. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files are a likely place to start. Some of the articles such as those from New Scientist, Business Week and TechWeb talk of slurping 20,000 files per hour, definitely a security threat.
