Multi-touch Interaction Research

If you have ever accidentally used multiple fingers on a laptop touchpad you will know how much havoc it plays with the mouse pointer movement and control. Some laptops have improved touchpads that handle multi-finger input and use it sensibly.

Multiple fingers and both hands can be exploited for user interface control as Jeff Han shows in his latest work. This stuff is very impressive. There are also videos on YouTube worth looking at. On one of these there is a demo that has direct links to Michael Battle’s Proximap work.
