A New Slant on E-learning 2.0

In another fascinating podcast from Jon Udell he discusses learning management systems with Graham Glass of Edu2.0. Graham has built Edu2.0 with Ruby on Rails and has attempted to integrate other publicly available services wherever possible (David Bake take note). However, Graham has just become passionate about project-based learning where a series of projects, each with multiple topic and skill requirements, in total cover some required curriculum. Educators’ expertise is needed to create the range of projects such that the curriculum coverage is met. Graham believes that learning management systems such as Edu2.0 are ideal at capturing project work (inputs, assessment outcomes, interactive discussions, and so on) and judging for individual students whether they have covered the curriculum successfully. Graham’s mission has only just begun but his work on Edu2.0 will be worth noting into the future.
