Popfly Opens a New Dimension in Mashups (updated)

It is not often that I watch a demo so incredulously and especially not from Microsoft, but Popfly based on Silverlight takes the prize. Techcrunch’s Nik Cubrilovic wrote up an overview post which provides an inkling of the great leap forward in mashup creation for non-programmers. You just have to watch the screencast yourself.

Of course, Popfly is in private alpha and not open for use but I personally can’t wait. It is interesting that the group developing Popfly is called the Non-Professional Tools Team and is housed within the regular developer tools team. Roll on Popfly.

A good overview article is from Mary Jo Foley. [Updated]
