The Technological Singularity

I’ve heard of a black hole being a singularity but had not come across the term applied to technology. Discovering a new blog today called ‘Trends in the Living Networks‘ by Ross Dawson I came across his mention of the technical singularity. ‘Usually the Singularity is meant as a future time when societal, scientific and economic change is so fast we cannot even imagine what will happen from our present perspective, and when humanity will become posthumanity.’ Put simply technological change overwhelms us. I have the feeling we are approaching this time rapidly!
