Now There is Micromedia

No, it’s not a company it is the outgrowth of the microblogs like Twitter and Pownce (currently in beta). Robert Scoble via his Google Reader links page (further filtered by AideRSS) selected a Trendwatch article about micromedia by Jeremiah Owyang. He defines micromedia as:

Quick audio or video messages published to a trusted social community. May be created and consumed using mobile technology, and often distributed using other social media tools. Listen to this example.

This heralds another significant shift in blogging which was predicted to be dying by some just a month or so ago.

[I have a few Pownce invites left if anyone is interested.]
