Attend Business Meetings from your office or home

Richard MacManus of RWW provides us a useful (and inexpensive) summary of a significant new Forrester report entitled ‘Getting Real Work Done In Virtual Worlds’. As you would expect of Forrester their report contains interesting case studies of companies leading the way in virtual worlds for meetings. Richard gives some examples and then raises the question of acceptance in the workplace. He shows a couple of scenarios:

Richard quotes the report that for most people over 30  virtual worlds involve “frivolous games or places where deviant personalities exhibit their alter egos”. Personally I would have no problem being represented by a glamorous avatar.
